FOLDY GOLF / PRIVACY

YOUR GAME.
YOUR PRIVACY.

Who we are

Foldy Golf is made by Appspired. This policy covers the Foldy Golf app and foldygolf.com. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].

Your game, on your device

The app stores your settings, course progress and gameplay statistics on your device. You do not need a Foldy Golf account. We do not ask for your contacts, precise location, photos or microphone access to play.

Optional usage analytics in the app

The app includes usage analytics through our Matomo server at matomo.appspired.com. When analytics is enabled and configured, it can send gameplay events such as app opens, hole starts and results, shot power bands, fold counts, course progress and settings changes. Events can include your device model, operating system version and app version.

A random identifier generated for the app installation groups these events. It is not Apple’s advertising identifier, and we do not use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. We do not intentionally link it to your name, email address or Game Center identity. As with other internet requests, the analytics server receives technical connection information, including your IP address.

The “Share anonymous usage data” setting is on by default in the app. You can turn it off in Settings. Turning it off stops future analytics collection and clears the app’s unsent queue. Unsent events older than seven days are discarded by the app. That queue limit is not a promise that data already received by the analytics server is deleted after seven days.

Game Center

If you use Game Center, the app can submit your Daily score and retrieve leaderboard information through Apple’s Game Center service. Scores are associated with your Game Center identity and may appear on a leaderboard. Apple manages that account and service under its own privacy policy. You can manage Game Center in your device settings.

Configuration and daily courses

The app requests tuning and Daily challenge files from foldygolf.com. It can cache these files for use offline. The host receives ordinary web-request information, such as the requested address, IP address and connection details. These requests do not need your name or a Foldy Golf account.

This website

This website does not include advertising trackers, a marketing analytics script, a newsletter form or third-party video embeds. The folding demonstration runs in your browser and does not submit your actions to us. Website assets, fonts and any gameplay video are served from the site itself. The site does not use cookies or browser storage for marketing or analytics.

Our hosting provider and, when enabled, Cloudflare process technical request information to deliver, cache and protect the site. This can include IP addresses, browser and connection information, requested URLs, timestamps and security logs. Cloudflare may use necessary security cookies if its protection features require them. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its handling of data.

If you email us

We receive your email address, the content of your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, investigate problems and improve the game. Please avoid sending passwords, private account details or other sensitive information. Email is handled through our email provider.

Retention and your choices

Local game data remains on your device until it is removed through the device or app. Server logs, received analytics and support correspondence are kept for the operational, support or security purposes described above, rather than for a fixed period promised by this policy. You can contact us to ask about access, correction or deletion of information we hold. We may need enough information to identify the relevant record; a random analytics installation identifier is not automatically linked to your email.

Sharing and international processing

We use service providers for website delivery, hosting, email and the functions described above. Their infrastructure may process information outside your country. We do not sell your personal information or use it for cross-app advertising tracking. We may disclose information when required by law.

Children and updates

The game does not ask players to create an account or submit personal information to play. If you believe a child has sent us personal information that should be removed, please contact us. We may update this policy as the game and website develop; the date above will change when we do.
